Rules

1. Write like a loyer, not a detective. (Be certain about what you're arguing)

2. Nothing you see or hear in a TV drama is there by accident.

3. Look for the binary opposites and conflict within the representation.

4. One side of the representational issue will be presented in an empathetic way.

5. One side of the issue will be shown as dominance.

6. All representations are mediated (the choices we make in order to represent something to the audience).

7. Write about the director's intent and the audience's reaction.



Mise-en-scene:
- Setting
- Body language
- Facial expression
- Hair and makeup
- Costume
- Colour & lighting (high key lighting and low key lighting)
